Gonzalez is cross-appointed in multiple units. He is Professor of Integrative Systems and Design in the College of Engineering, Professor of Psychology in Statistics in LSA, Professor of Marketing in the Ross Business School, Research Professor in the Institute of Social Research, and Research Professor in the Center for Human Growth and Development. He received his PhD at Stanford University and his BA at UCLA. His research areas include mathematical models within the social sciences, judgment and decision making, and developing analytic tools to study the interplay of biology and behavior. He is co-founder of the Design Science PhD program. He currently directs the Research Center for Group Dynamics and the Biosocial Methods Collaborative.
