Jeff received his BS in Operations Management from Iowa State University in 1986 and his MBA in Finance from Marquette University in 1988. He has held process improvement roles within the healthcare industry for over 15 years, ranging from Management Engineer to Senior Lean Sensei. Prior to moving to healthcare, he held various corporate finance roles in consulting and power technology manufacturing.
Over the years, Jeff has successfully led lean continuous improvement deployments at three health systems across the country, working in most clinical and non-clinical areas of the organizations. He is a Six Sigma Black Belt, lean certified by the American Society for Quality, and has facilitated many Lean Value Stream Mapping workshops and internal education seminars. He has also been a guest speaker at many trade organization conferences, as well as other lean endeavors.
Jeff serves as a coach/mentor for the Senior Design course in the IOE Department, which partners with the Health System every semester. Together they manage 10-11 student projects on various process improvement topics.
