
Cantilina received the grant for her project What Does it Mean to Design for and with Equity?: Centering the Narratives and Experiences of Women Designers of Color

Dr. Patrick Hammett, Lecturer IV in Integrative Systems + Design (ISD) since 2013, has been named as the recipient of the 2021 Jon R. and Beverly S. Holt Award for Excellence in Teaching. The award is presented annually to one faculty member by the College of Engineering to recognize outstanding teaching.

The College of Engineering honored Manufacturing student Allison Chisenhall Harding for her excellent research as well as her leadership and service to the community.

As K-12 and higher education schools across the country prepare to reopen, there have been recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and local and state governments.

In recognition of her impact on the Integrative Systems + Design (ISD) community, ISD is proud to announce Alisyn Malek (BS ‘08, ESE ‘12) as the 2020 ISD Alumni Award winner. Alisyn was chosen as this year’s award winner because of her combination of leadership, technical aptitude and business acumen, as well as her artistic flair.

Jiacheng Liu, an alumna from the Manufacturing Master’s program, won the 2019 ISD Outstanding Capstone Award. The award is presented annually to the capstone design project that demonstrated outstanding impact, excellent contributions to practice, exemplary deployment of classroom material in an industrial application, excellent quality of the project work, and great potential value-added benefits for the sponsor.

John Meluso, PhD received the Distinguished Leadership Award for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, for his strong leadership and communication abilities in the Design Science program.
