What can you do with an ISD degree? This is a question we’re posing to a range of ISD alumni. The answer, it turns out, is you can do a lot.
Recent Design Science PhD graduate Alex Burnap says he uses his degree to create tools to help designers create products for a more diverse and globalized world.? In his recent interview with us, Alex described the importance of the work he has been able to do in industry, thanks to Design Science. ?Everywhere we look, we’re surrounded by designed products and services,? he says. It’s very difficult to accuse Design Science of being disconnected from reality, of being over intellectualized, because we’re working directly with real companies that are making billion-dollar product line decisions.? Whether through academia or industry, Alex hopes to further his impact on design optimization in an increasingly connected world.
