All in the ISD Family
Ask Dr. Chinedum Okwudire to reflect on his experience as Associate Chair of Integrative Systems + Design and he immediately points to the ISD family culture.

Dr. Okwudire served as associate chair from 2019 to 2021.

“I most enjoyed the collegiality and warmth of the ISD family,” he said. “I’m most proud of helping ISD to launch a new Master’s track in Additive Manufacturing and Smart Manufacturing Systems course. I also enjoyed the opportunity to support numerous other activities at ISD, including its DEI efforts.”

Helping ISD Students Achieve
Dr. Matt Reed’s favorite part as a leader in Integrative Systems + Design was “working with our amazing, diverse student cohort”.

Dr. Reed, served as Design science program director from 2017 to 2021. He oversaw student-initiated practicums, worked with a team to revise the PhD student handbook, and hosted weekly seminar sessions with the MS students during the 2020-21 school year focused on student communication.

“I have been honored to serve the Design Science program within ISD during a challenging time,” he said. ”The program is in excellent hands going forward and I know we’ll continue to see great things from our students.”
