Tuesday, January 4
9:30 a.m. — ISD New student Orientation
- We’re excited to welcome new students to ISD. Learn more about your ISD family, connect with your cohort, and get answers to your individual questions. Zoom link
12-1 p.m. – North Campus Tour
- Meet us in SI-North (1075 Beal Ave, Ann Arbor, MI 48109) for a North Campus tour.
Wednesday, January 5
4:30 p.m. — ISD Career Resources
- In this informal virtual roundtable, we’ll walk through how to use resources in the Engineering Career Resource Center (ECRC), including how to set up your Symplicity account. This account can be used for job searching and signing up for career-related events in the ECRC, including the Career Fair.
Thursday, January 6
6:00 p.m. — ISD Wellness/Professional Organizations
- We’ll start with a conversation around some of the professional organizations students get involved in and why this is a valuable resource for your future career and networking.
- Next, we’ll continue our conversation around what wellness resources are available and how to access them. Wellness is a key to student success, and U-M has many resources and wellness groups available to help.
Friday, January 7
4:00 p.m.— ISD Graduate Student Advisory Committee (GSAC)
- The Graduate Student Advisory Committee (GSAC) is made up of student members from each ISD graduate degree program to represent the student community.
- The committee meets several times throughout the year to provide feedback to ISD leadership, plan student events, and brainstorm ways to foster an active ISD student community.
