Prerequisites for admission include:
- 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences with good grade point average.
- A one-page statement of purpose, a one-page personal statement, two letters of recommendation, and official undergraduate and graduate (if applicable) transcripts are required.
- Applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate English proficiency and are required to provide an official score report from either the Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB), the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the International English Language Testing Systems (IELTS), or the Examination for the Michigan Certificate of Proficiency in English (ECPE). If a student received a bachelor’s degree from a college or university where the language of instruction is exclusively English, the English proficiency requirement MAY be waived.
- The GRE is required when applying to the Doctor of Engineering (D.Eng) program and all Master of Engineering (M.Eng) programs, excluding Sequential Undergraduate/Graduate Study (SUGS) applicants.
