Ziyan Xu sought business acumen to compliment the manufacturing engineering experience. Through the Multidisciplinary Design Program project, Xu spent time learning business at the Ross School of Business while completing an ISD Master of Engineering in Manufacturing degree.

Beth Ann Less

When Beth Ann Less arrived at the University of Michigan as an undergraduate student, she hit the ground running (and biking, and swimming). She participated on the Michigan Triathlon team, was a part of Young Life, worked as a lab instructor, and taught as a graduate student instructor while at U-M. Beth Ann’s main focus, however, was earning her two degrees: a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Engineering in Manufacturing from Integrative Systems + Design.

Elio Morillo

Recent ISD Systems Engineering + Design graduate Elio Morillo has spent the last seven years as a student in Ann Arbor. Born in Ecuador, Elio lived in New York and Puerto Rico before becoming a University of Michigan (U-M) undergrad student, studying mechanical and electrical engineering. As an ISD graduate student, Elio served as the mechanical lead for the Michigan Bicentennial Archive CubeSat team, interned with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, and taught classes as a graduate student instructor.

Like many kids growing up in Monroe, Michigan, John Kipf was fascinated with auto racing, airplanes, and spacecraft. Unlike most of us, John has been able to make an engineering career out of his favorite childhood toys.

Aditya Raghunathan

Aditya Raghunathan knew from a young age that he would thrive as an engineer. After attending SRM University in his hometime of Chennai, India, Aditya worked as a manufacturing engineer for John Deere India. To further his education, Aditya enrolled as a Global Automotive and Manufacturing Engineering (GAME) student with Integrative Systems + Design (ISD) in 2014.

Sean Ryan

Not only has the recent ISD graduate landed a position at Detroit Diesel Corporation, where he’ll start full-time this fall, but Sean has qualified for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, one of two American swimmers set to compete in the open-water 10km. Considering his high level of achievement, it’s no surprise that the Manufacturing Engineering alumnus delivered inspiring remarks at ISD’s 2016 graduation reception.
