Diann Brei
Professor of Mechanical Engineering
Diann Brei is the Chair of Integrative Systems + Design. She received her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and her B.S.E. in Computer Systems Engineering from Arizona State University. Her research interests include design, smart materials and structures, sensor and actuator design, micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), structural dynamics, vibration and noise control, microfabrication techniques for electroactive materials, and optimization of transducers and smart structures. Before serving as Chair of ISD, Diann was the Program Director for ISD's Design Science Doctoral Program.
